Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Xi'an

Your private guide will greet you at Xi'an airport or railway station and escort you to your hotel. Xi'an, once the capital of 13 dynasties, is a city where ancient walls, pagodas, and bustling markets coexist with modern skyscrapers. If you arrive early, stroll through the lively streets to see how tradition and modernity blend seamlessly.

Day 2 – Terracotta Army & Tang Dynasty Heritage

Drive to the Terracotta Army Museum, one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of the 20th century. Walk among thousands of life-sized warriors, each uniquely sculpted, standing guard over Emperor Qin Shi Huang's tomb. Explore all three pits, from the vast Pit 1 with its infantry formations to Pit 2's cavalry and chariots, and Pit 3's command centre. A special exhibition showcases newly unearthed relics, including painted warriors and bronze waterfowl. Enjoy a hands-on terracotta workshop, crafting your own clay warrior under the guidance of local artisans. Return to Xi'an to visit the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, built in the Tang Dynasty to house Buddhist scriptures brought from India. Its leaning silhouette tells stories of centuries of earthquakes and land subsidence. End the day at the Great Tang All Day Mall, a pedestrian street recreating the grandeur of the Tang era. Admire costumed performers, shop for handicrafts, and immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere.

Day 3 – Xi'an City Wall & Muslim Quarter

Begin at City Wall Park, where locals practice tai chi, sing opera, and dance in the mornings. Ascend the Xi'an City Wall, the largest and best-preserved ancient city wall in China, stretching 14 km. Walk or cycle along its ramparts, with panoramic views of old temples and modern towers. Continue to the Muslim Quarter, a vibrant street lined with food stalls and shops. Taste specialties like Biang Biang noodles and crumbled flatbread in mutton stew. Visit the Great Mosque, blending Islamic and Chinese architecture in a tranquil garden setting. Later, transfer to the airport for your flight to Zhangjiajie.
