THREE DECADES OF DISCOVERY
"BambuTravel was born from a personal challenge I took on during my studies back in 1997 — a project that quickly grew into something far greater than I ever imagined. What began as an academic exercise soon became a deep passion, and eventually, the foundation of my life's work.
Travel has always been part of who I am, and guiding others has always felt like second nature.
Early on, I became a professional guide and began focusing on the places I know and love best: Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands. As more travellers joined me on these journeys, my world expanded — and so did the regions I explored. Today, I work with a carefully selected network of trusted local guides across South America, Southeast Asia, and beyond, ensuring that every traveller receives the same warmth, expertise, and personal attention I've always believed in.
At BambuTravel, everything we do is rooted in the same values that inspired me from the very beginning: genuine care, curiosity, and treating every traveller like family. I truly love what I do, and my greatest reward is knowing that every guest walks away with not just an incredible journey, but a warm, personal experience they'll cherish for years to come.
