✦ JOURNEY

Beijing, Xi’an, Shanghai. Three cities, three dynasties, three entirely different worlds. In Beijing, you’ll walk the vast courtyards of the Forbidden City, where emperors once ruled by divine mandate and every gate whispers a fragment of imperial history. In Xi’an, you’ll stand before the Terracotta Army, its 8,000 silent soldiers locked in eternal formation, a masterpiece of devotion and power carved into the earth. And in Shanghai, you’ll find yourself on the Bund, gazing across the river at a skyline that seems to have risen overnight — a neon‑lit testament to China’s relentless momentum.

This is China in its full imperial arc: from ancient capitals to modern megacities, from dynastic grandeur to avant‑garde ambition. As the lights of Pudong flicker to life against the night sky, you’ll feel the country’s energy shift — past and present folding into one seamless narrative. And in that moment, you’ll understand that China is not a single story but a thousand, layered and alive, each one waiting for the traveler willing to listen.

"The Forbidden City is a testament to the power of dreams."

  ✦  LOCAL SECRET

The Forbidden City is overwhelming, but the secret is the Emperor's Garden in the northern corner. Most tourists miss it entirely. It's a tiny, quiet courtyard with ancient pine trees and a meditation pavilion — the most peaceful place in Beijing.

Did you know that the Forbidden City in Beijing was the imperial palace of 24 emperors, spanning over 180,000 square meters and containing over 9,000 rooms? The city was closed to the public for over 500 years until 1925, when it was opened as a museum, revealing its treasures to the world.
