✦ JOURNEY

Bangkok is not a city you visit—it is a city you surrender to. You will float through the floating markets, your boat weaving between vendors selling mangoes and fried insects. You will walk through the Grand Palace, your eyes struggling to process the gold and the jewels. You will sit in a tuk‑tuk, the engine straining as you weave through traffic that seems to follow no rules. At some point, you will stop trying to understand it and just let the chaos wash over you. That is when Bangkok reveals its heart. And when you finally retreat to the quiet of your hotel room, the sounds of the city muffled by the glass, you will carry its energy with you—a vibrant hum that will linger long after you have left.

Step outside again and you’ll find the night alive with neon, street food smoke curling into the air like a promise. Wander a little further and the city shifts shape—one moment frenetic, the next unexpectedly tender. By the time dawn breaks over the Chao Phraya, painting the river in soft shades of silver, you’ll realise that Bangkok doesn’t just overwhelm you; it transforms you, one unforgettable moment at a time.

"Bangkok is a city that seduces you with its chaos."

  ✦  LOCAL SECRET

The Grand Palace is beautiful, but the secret is the flower market at 3am. That's when the orchids arrive from the countryside, the air is thick with jasmine, and you can watch the vendors create the flower garlands that will be sold at temples that same morning.

Did you know that Bangkok's Grand Palace was built in 1782 and has been the official residence of the Kings of Thailand for over 200 years? The palace covers over 200,000 square meters and includes over 100 buildings, with the Temple of the Emerald Buddha being the most sacred site in Thailand.
